Optimization of aperture transitions for multiport microstrip circuits
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1996The introduction of the printed aperture into multiport microstrip circuits as a vertical transition proves to be practical in the design as well as the manufacturing process of multilayered circuits. With the mixed-potential integral equation-based moment method, it becomes possible to analyze and optimize the performance of this arbitrary shape ...

Frequency Downconverters using Microstrip Circuit
IETE Journal of Research, 1971In this paper an attempt is made to present the work on microwave frequency downconverter using microstrip circuit, that is being carried out at Himalayan Radio Propagation Unit. The L- and S-band frequency downconverters make use of 3 db branch line couplers and Schottky barrier diodes as mixing elements. The isolation between local oscillator and the

Noncontacting measurement of power in microstrip circuits
2006 67th ARFTG Conference, 2006This paper describes the use of a loop coupler probe for noncontacting measurement of power in microstrip circuits. The additional uncertainties, compared to contacting measurements, are investigated. The sensitivity of the coupling to positioning errors gives an uncertainty contribution in the same order as when using galvanically contacting ...

Modelling SMD capacitor for microstrip circuits
Proceedings. Electrotechnical Conference Integrating Research, Industry and Education in Energy and Communication Engineering', 2003Simple models and a parameter extraction technique for low-cost SMD capacitors mounted on microstrip lines are presented. The models are simple networks, easily implemented in currently available microwave CAD (computer-aided design) programs. Their element values are obtained from the results of vector network analyzer measurements on microstrip ...

Microstrip Circuits for the Classroom Laboratory
IEEE Transactions on Education, 1985The procedure and background for an experiment on the design of microwave microstrip circuits are presented. An effort is made to keep the experiment simple and the costs to a minimum so that the experiment can be easily implemented using the facilities of a school. The circuits are fabricated using a copper-tape construction method.

Equations for Microstrip Circuit Design
1975 5th European Microwave Conference, 1975A method for determining the accuracy of computed impedance and wavelength data for microstrip is proposed. It is shown that the standard equations of Wheeler and Schneider have rather large errors. Revised equations for microstrip impedance and wavelength are given both for analysis and synthesis with accuracy better than 1%.

Equivalent circuit for microstrip bandpass filter
2016 2nd International Conference on Wireless and Telematics (ICWT), 2016Filter is an electromagnetic device that is designed to select signals based on frequency response. Filter can be easily analyzed by the general theory of equivalent circuit which refers to a theoretical circuit that retains all of the electrical characteristics of a given circuit.

Microstrip Circuit Elements on Cylindrical Substrates
1987 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 1987Dynamic Models for a variety of microstrip circuits, microstrip discontinuities, and general conductor elements printed on cylindrical substrates are presented. The models accounts for radiation loss and surface wave effects. The dispersion models include the transverse current component and provide error criteria when it is omitted.

Automated Coordinatograph for Manufacture of Microstrip Circuits
2006 16th International Crimean Microwave and Telecommunication Technology, 2006Apparatus is designed for making microstrip circuits by technique of engraving desired pattern upon varnish on the area 60×48 mm with accuracy of ±5 ?m. As a rule, microstrip circuits are designed and made with use of photolithography, which is expensive and requiring long time technique. Thickness of metal coatings used in microstrip circuits is 10 ?m
