Surface Waves in Microstrip Circuits

6th European Microwave Conference, 1976, 1976
The launching of surface waves by discontinuities in microstrip circuits can cause extra coupling between adjacent devices. This paper gives measurements of the efficiency of an open circuit in microstrip to both launch and receive surface waves. The measurement technique is described in which the radiated waves from the open circuit are distinguished ...

Microstrip resonances in superconducting circuits

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1987
Josephson junctions connected to high Q microstriplines display current-steps which we attribute to standing wave resonances. The step voltages of the resonances depend on sample geometry and correspond to frequencies at which the loaded microstrip is resonant.

On Circuits with Coupled Thick Microstrips

16th European Microwave Conference, 1986, 1986
A method for calculation af coupled thick microstrip parameters is presented. The method is employed in analysis- and synthesis procedures (programs) for circuits with multiple coupled strips with arbitrary dimensions on arbitrary isotropic substrates. It is thus possible to analyze and synthesize e.g.

Microstrip Circuits for the Classroom Laboratory

IEEE Transactions on Education, 1985
The procedure and background for an experiment on the design of microwave microstrip circuits are presented. An effort is made to keep the experiment simple and the costs to a minimum so that the experiment can be easily implemented using the facilities of a school. The circuits are fabricated using a copper-tape construction method.

Microstrip Circuit Elements on Cylindrical Substrates

1987 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 1987
Dynamic Models for a variety of microstrip circuits, microstrip discontinuities, and general conductor elements printed on cylindrical substrates are presented. The models accounts for radiation loss and surface wave effects. The dispersion models include the transverse current component and provide error criteria when it is omitted.

Equations for Microstrip Circuit Design

1975 5th European Microwave Conference, 1975
A method for determining the accuracy of computed impedance and wavelength data for microstrip is proposed. It is shown that the standard equations of Wheeler and Schneider have rather large errors. Revised equations for microstrip impedance and wavelength are given both for analysis and synthesis with accuracy better than 1%.

Automated Coordinatograph for Manufacture of Microstrip Circuits

2006 16th International Crimean Microwave and Telecommunication Technology, 2006
Apparatus is designed for making microstrip circuits by technique of engraving desired pattern upon varnish on the area 60×48 mm with accuracy of ±5 ?m. As a rule, microstrip circuits are designed and made with use of photolithography, which is expensive and requiring long time technique. Thickness of metal coatings used in microstrip circuits is 10 ?m

Equivalent Circuits of Microstrip Reflectarrays

IEEE International Workshop on Antenna Technology Small Antennas and Novel Metamaterials, 2006., 2006
Numerical research of scattering characteristics of printed reflectarrays with controllable loads is object of this paper. To calculate eigen values of a matrix of an equivalent superficial impedance tensor of microstrip impedance loads the empirical formula has been obtained.

Equivalent circuit for microstrip bandpass filter

2016 2nd International Conference on Wireless and Telematics (ICWT), 2016
Filter is an electromagnetic device that is designed to select signals based on frequency response. Filter can be easily analyzed by the general theory of equivalent circuit which refers to a theoretical circuit that retains all of the electrical characteristics of a given circuit.

Noncontacting measurement of power in microstrip circuits

2006 67th ARFTG Conference, 2006
This paper describes the use of a loop coupler probe for noncontacting measurement of power in microstrip circuits. The additional uncertainties, compared to contacting measurements, are investigated. The sensitivity of the coupling to positioning errors gives an uncertainty contribution in the same order as when using galvanically contacting ...
