Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Improving the bandwidth of microstructured multimode W-type POFs in the visible light range
The bandwidth of multimode W-type microstructured plastic optical fibers (mPOFs) is analyzed using the time-dependent power flow equation (TD PFE). The results demonstrate that increasing the wavelength enhances the bandwidth in W-type mPOFs, depending ...

Enhancement of the Sensitivity of a Volatile Organic Compounds MOF-Sensor by Means of Its Structure
In this paper, we experimentally compare several core structures of Microstructured Optical Fibers (MOFs) for low-finesse Fabry-Pérot (FP) sensors. These sensors are designed for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) measurements. We deposit Indium Tin Oxide

Few-cycle fiber pulse compression and evolution of negative resonant radiation
We present experimental observations of the spectral expansion of fs-pulses compressing in optical fibers. Using the input pulse frequency chirp we are able to scan through the pulse compression spectra and observe in detail the emergence of negative ...
