Synthesis of Literature: Neurodegeneration in Moderate‐Severe TBI. Objective Although moderate‐to‐severe traumatic brain injury (msTBI) was once considered a static neural event following resolution of acute injuries, numerous studies now demonstrate progressive losses to volume and white matter integrity in the months and years postinjury, leading to ...

Schematic illustration showing the design of the developed invitro mechano stimulator (IMS) and the electrospun nanofiber‐based piezoelectric and conductive nerve conduit (PCNC) that can self‐generate electrical stimulations analogous to neural tissues. IMS provided vital electrical cues for the neural cells to attach, align and proliferate on the PCNC

Gout and NLRP3 Inflammasome Biology
This review describes the three broad stages of acute inflammation in the context of gout: initiation, leucocyte mobilization, and self‐resolution. A typical case of a gout flare is presented. The role of the NLRP3 inflammasome in acute monosodium urate crystal–induced inflammation is reviewed in detail.

The ductal network in the human testis and epididymis: What belongs to which?
Abstract The testes and epididymis are traversed by a system of tubules in which sperm cells are generated, matured, nourished, and transported. Among these are the efferent ductules, which connect the rete testis to the duct of the epididymis. In the Terminologia Anatomica (TA), the efferent ductules are assigned to the testicles, while numerous ...
