A highly versatile and general strategy is presented for the scalable production of practical quantities of ω‐substituted α‐olefins using tris(ω‐substituted alkyl)aluminum telogens that are readily available through a “green” synthesis from commodity triisobutylaluminum and ethene as the taxogen. These new α‐olefins can be designed and used as monomers

Up to 16% Optical Carbon‐13 Hyperpolarization of Donor–Acceptor Molecules at 14.1 T
Up to 16% 13C nuclear polarization is achieved using a rationally designed photo‐CIDNP polarizing agent (PA) in magic‐angle‐spinning NMR experiments at 14.1 T. The PA was designed using a combination of theoretical photocycle calculations and magnetic field dependent experiments to identify important new design principles.

Uniform core‐shell colloidal particles of Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs) are synthesized by a seeded growth of electron‐acceptor COF shells on electron‐donor COF cores. The resulting p‐n heterojunction enables efficient separation of photogenerated charges, which persist for minutes. These core‐shell COFs show efficient CO2 photoreduction to CO and

TADF‐Active Tetrazole Luminophores for Visible‐Light Functionalization of Nanoparticles and Surfaces
A series of tetrazoles are reported that undergo 1,3‐dipolar cycloadditions with alkene and alkyne substrates, generating (dihydro)pyrazole products that exhibit thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF). The “photo‐click” reactivity of these tetrazoles is leveraged to functionalize nanoparticles and surfaces with TADF‐active chromophores ...

Advances in Microwave Synthesis of Nanoporous Materials
Advanced Materials, 2021AbstractUsually, porous materials are synthesized by using conventional electric heating, which can be energy‐ and time‐consuming. Microwave heating is commonly used in many households to quickly heat food. Microwave ovens can also be used as powerful devices in the synthesis of various porous materials. The microwave‐assisted synthesis offers a simple,

Microwave Synthesis of Nanoporous Materials
ChemPhysChem, 2006AbstractStudies in the last decade suggest that microwave energy may have a unique ability to influence chemical processes. These include chemical and materials syntheses as well as separations. Specifically, recent studies have documented a significantly reduced time for fabricating zeolites, mixed oxide and mesoporous molecular sieves by employing ...
