Abstract Enrichment patterns of the redox‐ and bio‐sensitive trace elements U, V, Cr, and Ni in margin sediments are essential for environmental reconstructions. However, their sedimentary accumulation pathways are not fully understood. While the accumulation of toxic trace elements like Cd, Hg, Pb, and Zn has been relatively well studied in fish ...

Hornblendite in the Lower Crust: A Possible Source for Porphyry Cu Deposits
Abstract Lower crustal sulfide‐bearing Cu‐rich cumulates, mainly occurring as hornblendite, have been proposed as a critical source component for the development of giant porphyry Cu deposits (PCDs); however, their mineralogical and geochemical nature remain elusive.

Three Devonian rock units outcrop at Gypsum Cliffs comprising, in ascending sequence: gypsum of the Fort Vermilion Formation; limestone and dolomitic limestone, commonly brecciated, of the Slave Point Formation; and calcareous shale with thin intercalated limestone beds of the Peace Point Member of the Waterways Formation preserved in sinkholes and ...

Revealing Permafrost Continuity Across a Northern Watershed With Airborne Electromagnetics
Abstract Permafrost thawing in northern regions may alter groundwater‐surface water dynamics, thereby impacting hydrologic and ecologic functions and the potential release of stored solutes including carbon. Here, we present an airborne frequency‐domain electromagnetic survey over a discontinuous permafrost region within the Central Mackenzie Valley in

UPPER DEVONIAN ACRITARCHS AND MIOSPORES FROM THE GEIRUD FORMATION IN CENTRAL ALBORZ RANGE, NORTHERN IRAN [PDF]
The Geirud Formation consists mainly of clastic sediments which are interbedded with limestone stringers. This rock unit is well-exposed along the Central Alborz Range in northern Iran.

Abstract The production, transport, loss, and export of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) are closely connected with hydrometeorological drivers. While terrestrial production depends on biogeochemical variables like soil moisture, air temperature, and the contact area between water and organic matter sources, export is determined by water availability and

Magnetotelluric Exploration of Zn Pb Mineralization in Stonepark, Irish Midlands
ABSTRACT To meet the increasing demand for raw materials and to foster the energy transition, advances in exploration techniques are required that extend capabilities to deeper and/or more densely populated areas while having a low environmental and societal impact.

ABSTRACT This study investigates garnet–clinopyroxene double‐layered coronae in a metagabbronorite from the high‐grade metamorphic Gföhl Unit (Bohemian Massif). The coronae formed at the interfaces between relic magmatic orthopyroxene, still preserved in the cores of the coronae, and the plagioclase‐rich rock matrix.
