Ammonoids of the Middle Devonian family Maenioceratidae in the Anti-Atlas of Morocco

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Taxonomy
The ammonoids of the family Maenioceratidae from Givetian sedimentary rocks of the Anti-Atlas (Morocco) are investigated. The study is based on new collections stored in the Museum für Naturkunde, Berlin.

Crustal thickness beneath Atlas region from gravity, topographic, sediment and seismic data

open access: yesGeodesy and Geodynamics, 2020
The Atlas region in northwest Africa is characterized by the Quaternary volcanism and elevated topography with past complex tectonic mitigation between the African and European plates.

Evidence of remagnetized red-beds in the Middle Atlas (Morocco) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Se ha realizado un estudio paleomagnético en el límite entre el Atlas Medio Plegado y el Atlas Medio Tabular, en el entorno de los sinclinales de Skoura y Tighboula y el anticlinal de Boulemane.

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Thermal characteristics study of light aggregate concrete of the middle Atlas pozzolana

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
We present in this work an experimental study of the thermomechanical characterization of pozzolan (volcanic rock widespread in the region of Azrou in the Middle Atlas in Morocco).

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Inclusive searches for squarks and gluinos with the ATLAS detector

open access: yes, 2014
Despite the absence of experimental evidence, weak scale supersymmetry remains one of the best motivated and studied Standard Model extensions. This report summarises recent ATLAS results on inclusive searches for supersymmetric squarks and gluinos ...

Giant petrous bone cholesteatoma: combined microscopic surgery and an adjuvant endoscopic approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Petrous bone cholesteatomas (PBCs) are epidermoid cysts, which have developed in the petrous portion of the temporal bone and may be congenital or acquired.

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...
