Tirofiban Combination Therapy for Acute Ischemic Stroke: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Introduction Acute ischemic stroke (AIS) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality globally. Standard antiplatelet therapies, while partially effective, do not fully inhibit all pathways of platelet aggregation, leaving patients at risk of recurrent thrombotic events. Tirofiban, a glycoprotein IIb/IIIa receptor inhibitor, has shown promise

Impact of Etiology, Thrombectomy Techniques, and Lesion Localization on Endovascular Treatment Success in Acute Basilar Artery Occlusion: A Single‐Center Retrospective Study

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2025.
In acute basilar artery occlusion, endovascular treatment achieved 100% recanalization, with lower 3‐month mRS observed in the cardioembolic group and those treated with combined techniques despite longer procedure times. Larger, randomized controlled studies are needed to confirm and clarify the strength of our findings.

Development of a Diagnostic Prediction Model for Post‐Stroke Cognitive Impairment in Acute Large Vessel Occlusion Stroke Using Multimodal MRI and PET/CT: A Study Protocol

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2025.
This study develops a machine learning‐based model to predict post‐stroke cognitive impairment (PSCI) in patients with anterior circulation large‐vessel occlusion who received endovascular treatment (EVT) within 24 h, using multimodal MRI and PET/CT imaging combined with clinical data for early risk stratification.

Stroke in High‐Altitude Areas

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2025.
This study provides a literature review exploring the relationship between high‐altitude environmental factors and stroke, analyzes the limitations of current research, and proposes future research directions and preventive measures. ABSTRACT Background Stroke poses a significant social and familial burden on populations worldwide.
