The co-morbidity between migraine and bipolar disorders is well documented in numerous clinical and epidemiological studies, but the aetiologies are currently unknown. Many Authors have suggested some pathophysiological mechanisms in common. This co-morbidity, moreover, influences the outcome of both disorders.
