Optimal Solutions for a Class of Impulsive Differential Problems with Feedback Controls and Volterra-Type Distributed Delay: A Topological Approach

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, the existence of optimal solutions for problems governed by differential equations involving feedback controls is established for when the problem must account for a Volterra-type distributed delay and is subject to the action of impulsive

Down‐regulation of Shh in the hair follicles of mice during chemotherapy‐induced hair loss is mediated by the JAK/STAT1 signaling pathway

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We found that during chemotherapy‐induced alopecia (CIA), Sonic hedgehog (Shh) expression significantly decreased in hair follicle Shh+ cells, whereas the Janus‐activated kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (JAK/STAT1) signaling pathway was markedly activated.

Nonlocal Conformable Differential Inclusions Generated by Semigroups of Linear Bounded Operators or by Sectorial Operators with Impulses in Banach Spaces

open access: yesAxioms
This paper aims to explore sufficient conditions for the existence of mild solutions to two types of nonlocal, non-instantaneous, impulsive semilinear differential inclusions involving a conformable fractional derivative, where the linear part is the ...

Meta‐analysis fails to show any correlation between protein abundance and ubiquitination changes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We analyzed over 50 published proteomics datasets to explore the relationship between protein levels and ubiquitination changes across multiple experimental conditions and biological systems. Although ubiquitination is often associated with protein degradation, our analysis shows that changes in ubiquitination do not globally correlate with changes in ...

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Existence Results for Semilinear Differential Evolution Equations with Impulses and Delay

open access: yesCubo, 2010
In this paper, we establish sufficient conditions for the existence of mild and extremal solutions for some densely defined impulsive functional differential equations in separable Banach spaces with local and nonlocal conditions.

Establishing an assay to evaluate d‐amino acid oxidase enzyme kinetics and inhibition using WST‐8 redox dye

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study investigated a novel WST‐8‐based assay for evaluating d‐Amino acid oxidase (DAO) inhibitors. We confirmed its effectiveness using known inhibitors and found that uremic toxins possess relatively weak inhibitory activity compared to existing drugs.

On the regularity of mild solutions to complete higher order differential equations on Banach spaces [PDF]

open access: yesSurveys in Mathematics and its Applications, 2015
For the complete higher order differential equation u(n)(t)=Σk=0n-1Aku(k)(t)+f(t), t∈ R (*) on a Banach space E, we give a new definition of mild solutions of (*). We then characterize the regular admissibility of a translation invariant subspace al M of

YlmG1 is localized exclusively to the chloroplast envelope membrane and is involved in preprotein translocation in Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.
