Immune escape of Staphylococcus aureus mediated by osteocyte lacuna-canalicular network leads to persistent and uncured bone infection

open access: yesFrontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology
Bone infections, specifically chronic osteomyelitis, are characterized by recurrent episodes. They are considered intractable clinical diseases as they require protracted and difficult-to-cure courses. Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) is the most common

Crop production in the military institution 'Morović' [PDF]

open access: yesVojno delo, 2017
The subject of the research in this paper is crop production in the military institution 'Morović', which is carried out in three plants: 'Karađorđevo', 'Grabovci' and 'Morović'. Enforcing the Public Procurement Law, the defense system procures primary food products in the civil market, and not from its own production, which made the military ...

Multifunctional Eutectic Mixtures Enable Integrated Recovery of U, Pu, and Sr From Nuclear Waste

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel class of multifunctional eutectic mixtures, crafted from crown ether and organophosphorus molecules, achieves highly efficient, simultaneous recovery of uranium, plutonium, and strontium from nuclear waste. The material operates via a dual “coordination‐encapsulation” mechanism within self‐assembled reverse‐micelle structures, offering a ...

Electrostatic Self‐Assembly Induced Nest‐Like MXene Networks on Fabric for Ultra‐Broadband Flexible Absorption

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, an electrostatically self‐assembled WPU‐MXene@FC flexible fabric constructs a “nest‐like” structure on fibers, building construct MXene multiple loss paths, achieving ultra‐wideband absorption of 25.3–1200 GHz in a thickness of 1.8 mm, while also exhibiting superhydrophobicity, acid and alkali resistance, and bending resistance ...

Resolving Oxidative and Corrosive Calendar‐Aging via Electrolyte Engineering for Stable Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A weakly solvating ether solvent, 1,2‐dimethoxypropane (DMP), is proposed for use in localized high‐concentration electrolytes (LHCEs) for lithium metal batteries (LMBs). These DMP‐based LHCEs simultaneously suppress lithium metal corrosion and cathode degradation—two interrelated processes that accelerate calendar aging of LMBs.
