FACTORS AFFECTING U.S. DEMAND FOR REDUCED-FAT FLUID MILK

open access: yes
U.S. fluid milk consumption has changed dramatically since the early 1970s. Whole milk accounted for over 81% of commercial fluid milk disappearance in 1970. By 1993, this percentage was less than 39%.

Molecular Appendix Adjusted Architectural Propagations of Red‐Light Controlled Macroscopic Photoactuating Performances

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Amphiphilic chloroazobenzenes, bearing different amino acids as end groups alanine, phenylalanine, and valine, exhibit excellent photoisomerizations. Varying structures of three amino acid groups participate in supramolecular formations and therefore photoinduced morphological transformations via adjusting intermolecular interactions. These interaction

Sales Loss Determination in Food Contamination Incidents: An Application to Milk Bans in Hawaii

open access: yes
This article presents a procedure for estimating sales loss following a food contamination incident with application to the case of heptachlor contamination of fresh fluid milk in Oahu, Hawaii in 1982. A major finding is that media coverage following the

Grounding Large Language Models for Robot Task Planning Using Closed‐Loop State Feedback

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
BrainBody‐Large Language Model (LLM) introduces a hierarchical, feedback‐driven planning framework where two LLMs coordinate high‐level reasoning and low‐level control for robotic tasks. By grounding decisions in real‐time state feedback, it reduces hallucinations and improves task reliability.

THE 'MILK QUOTAS RENT PUZZLE' IN THE EU: ECONOMIC SIGNIFICANCE, REVIEW, AND POLICY RELEVANCE

open access: yes
In the so-called Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) 'Health Check' the European Commission has recently proposed gradual transitional measures to allow a 'soft landing' of the milk sector to quota expiry.

GPR124 Alleviates Blood–Brain Barrier Disruption by Enhancing Microvascular Endothelial Function after Traumatic Brain Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Our study reveals the protective role of GPR124 in maintaining BBB integrity and promoting neurological recovery following TBI. It makes a significant contribution by uncovering a novel molecular interaction between GPR124 and FGFBP1 and linking this to activation of the Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway in vascular repair mechanisms.

Comparison of milk with plant based alternatives

open access: yes, 2021

QBP1 Peptide as a Potential Anti‐Amyloidogenic Therapy for Type 2 Diabetes: An In Vitro Study

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The anti‐amyloidogenic peptide QBP1 effectively halts human islet amyloid polypeptide (hIAPP) aggregation, preventing the formation of toxic β‐structured intermediates. Through a combination of biophysical assays, molecular dynamics, and cell‐based studies, QBP1 is shown to preserve β‐cell viability and metabolic homeostasis, positioning it as a ...

Alternative milk formulas in allergies to proteins in cow's milk.

open access: yesJournal of investigational allergology & clinical immunology, 1994
A variety of "hypoallergenic" formulas have appeared on the market over the last few years for feeding lactating infants prone to a high atopic risk of allergy to cow's milk. These formulas consist of soya preparations, hydrolyzed proteins and so-called basic formulas.
