Temporal and spatial differences in microbial composition during the manufacture of a Continental-type cheese [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
peer-reviewedWe sought to determine if the time, within a production day, that a cheese is manufactured has an influence on the microbial community present within that cheese.

Fully Humanized Bispecific T Cell Engager Shows Potent Activity in Central Nervous System and Peripheral Tumors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reports the development of a fully humanized bispecific T cell engager targeting IL13RA2, a tumor‐associated antigen enriched in glioblastoma. This off‐the‐shelf immunotherapy drives potent, antigen‐dependent T cell activation and tumor killing, and prolongs survival in experimental GBM and other solid tumors models without detectable off ...

ALKBH3 m1A Demethylase Deficiency Reduces Alzheimer's Amyloid‐β Pathology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies that ALKBH3‐driven m1A demethylation orchestrates Alzheimer's disease progression by disrupting mitochondrial and synaptic homeostasis. This epitranscriptomic mechanism suppresses PINK1‐mediated mitophagy via m1A erasure, leading to mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, elevated Aβ production, and impaired microglial ...

MARKET STRUCTURE AND CONSUMER VALUATION IN THE RBST-FREE AND ORGANIC MILK MARKETS [PDF]

open access: yes
This study uses revealed preferences of consumers to study the consumer valuations of rBST-free and organic milk. The study specifies and estimates a quadratic AIDS model for different milk types using US supermarket scanner data.

A Rational Optimization Approach for the Development of a Multiplexed Lateral Flow Immunoassay: Detection of Nonepithelial Ovarian Cancer Markers in Human Serum

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study outlines the developmental pipeline of a multiplexed nanozyme‐based lateral flow immunoassay for the purpose of ovarian germ cell tumor detection. It demonstrates the application of a design of experiments optimization approach for nanozyme probe conjugate development.

Evaluating the Financial Position and Performance of a typical Dairy Farm in Bulgaria [PDF]

open access: yes
The aim of this paper is to explore the potentials of typical middle sized dairy farms (with 22 cows) to absorb the quotas and market shares released by the small scale farms after the EU accession in 2007.

Tumor‐Intrinsic ARHGEF3 Enhances Antitumor Immunity by Promoting T‐Cell Infiltration and Limiting Myeloid Cell‐Mediated Immunosuppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ARHGEF3 is broadly downregulated across human cancers and correlates with patient prognosis. Tumor‐intrinsic ARHGEF3 activates the RHOA–ROCK–PTEN cascade to inhibit AKT signaling, thereby promoting chemokine‐driven T‐cell infiltration and relieving lipid‐mediated myeloid immunosuppression.

Study of determinants of the nutritional composition of donor human milk: study protocol

open access: yesRevista Española de Nutrición Humana y Dietética
Introduction: Human milk is widely recognized as the optimal source of nutrition for newborns. In certain circumstances, such as in prematurity or illness, mothers’ own milk (MOM) may not be available, and in such cases, donor human milk (DHM) is ...

Laparoscopic Delivery of a MnO2‐P‐ICG Patch for Photodynamic Therapy and NK Cell‐Driven Immunotherapy in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study proposes a flexible MnO2‐P‐ICG nanofiber patch for laparoscopic treatment of liver tumors. The patch alleviates tumor hypoxia and induces photodynamic therapy (PDT) triggered immunogenic cell death, thereby activating the cGAS‐STING pathway and, in synergy with pachymaran, promoting NK cell–mediated innate immunity. This synergistic strategy
