Milk clotting protease isolated from Dieffenbachia maculata.

open access: yes, 1993
A proteinase with milk clotting activity was isolated from the (nontoxic) stem of Dieffenbachia maculata (a plant of the Araceae family widely cultivated in India).

An RNA‐Binding Protein RBMS1 Promotes Endothelial Cell Autophagy to Maintain Vascular Homeostasis and Suppress Deep Vein Thrombosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RBMS1, an RNA‐binding protein, restores vascular endothelial homeostasis by enhancing ATG3‐mediated autophagy, thereby attenuating thrombus formation and suggesting a potential avenue for further therapeutic exploration in DVT. ABSTRACT Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a prevalent vascular disorder characterized by aberrant coagulation within the deep ...

Effects of pH adjustment on clotting properties of ewe milk

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science, 2011
The strong correlation between pH and clotting ability of the milk has led some authors (Castillo et al., 2000; Remeuf and Raynal, 2001) to correct the pH of the milk, in order to reduce the variability, given that the acidity may be a characteristic of ...

MOF‐Derived Cu‐TiO2/Alginate Micromotors for Buoyancy‐Regulated 3D Motion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, cyanobacteria‐inspired sodium alginate (SA)/Cu‐TiO2/Fe3O4 hydrogel micromotors generate and encapsulate O2 microvesicles upon light irradiation, enabling buoyancy‐mediated Z‐axis upward migration and surface enrichment at the light‐exposed water‐air surface.

THSD7A Exacerbates Atherosclerosis via Activation of Signaling Axis αvβ3/CEBPD/IL1A

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
THSD7A exerts pro‐inflammatory effects and exacerbates atherosclerosis. Mechanistically, THSD7A regulates endothelial cell inflammation and atherosclerosis by activating the αvβ3/CEBPD/IL1A signaling axis. THSD7A is not only a genetic marker but also a potential therapeutic target for coronary artery disease (CAD).

Milk-clotting potential of fruit extracts from Solanum esculentum, Solanum macrocarpon L. and Solanum melongena [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Fruit extracts from Solanum esculentum, Solanum macrocarpon L. and Solanum melongena were tested for their milk-clotting potential. The release of substances associated with milk-clotting was highly dependent upon quantity of berries, extraction duration

Spatiotemporal Multi‐Omic Mapping Reveals Liver‐Muscle Metabolic Crosstalk in Cancer Cachexia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The interactive CCAtlas platform delineates cross‐species, spatiotemporal, and sex‐specific molecular dynamics and metabolic rewiring across organs during cancer cachexia. Hepatic Gamt downregulation curtails hepatic creatine synthesis to trigger systemic creatine insufficiency and consequent skeletal muscle atrophy in LLC tumour‐bearing mice ...
