Quality Dispersion Among Organic Milk Channels [PDF]

open access: yes
The most widely used measure of milk hygiene is Somatic Cell Count (SCC), where low SCC values indicate more wholesome milk. Dirt, often associated with grazing, carry bacteria and these bacteria can cause mastitis. Milk from cows with mastitis generally

HMGB1 Derived from the Pyroptotic Microenvironment Promotes Macrophage Extracellular Traps in Hirschsprung‐Associated Enterocolitis

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
HMGB1 derived from the pyroptotic environment in Hirschsprung‐associated enterocolitis mediates the formation of macrophage extracellular traps through TLR4 ‐p38 MAPK/p65 NF‐kB signaling pathways. Macrophage extracellular traps induce increased ROS production and pyroptosis of colonic epithelial cells.

The Effect of the Introduction of Automatic Milking Systems on Milk Quality

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science, 2000
Changes in milk quality after the introduction of automatic milking systems on 28 Dutch dairy farms were examined and observations were compared with milk quality characteristics on two groups of farms milking either two (49 farms) or three times (28 farms) per day in a conventional milking parlor.

A Novel Protein‐Polysaccharide Oral Nanoemulsion Targeting Activated Hepatic Stellate Cells to Enhance the Therapeutic Effect of Pirfenidone on Fibrosis After Transarterial Chemoembolization for Liver Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) may aggravate liver fibrosis. In this study, a novel oral targeting nanoemulsion is fabricated to enhance the therapeutic effect of antifibrotic drug‐pirfenidone (PFD) on fibrosis after TACE. Studies have shown that PFD nanoemulsion can enhance the oral liver targeting effect of PFD, and effectively improve the ...

Non-spore-forming thermoduric bacteria vary considerably in thermal resistance in milk media between strains from the same genus

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science
: Thermoduric bacteria, defined as those that survive temperatures considerably above their maximum growth temperature, are enumerated in milk using the laboratory pasteurization count (LPC) test.
