A vegetable milk substitute: Taro
Journal of Allergy, 1942Abstract 1.1. A low-cost recipe based on taro (Poyo meal) is offered as a milk substitute for use in the diets of milk-sensitive children. 2.2. The recipe is easy to prepare, is palatable, and may be offered from a bottle. 3.3. Taro may also be used to advantage as a substitute for the starchy foods.
