Determining the utility of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology for disaster victim identification (DVI)

Abstract Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology was evaluated as a method for electronically tracking human remains and associated identifying information during mass fatality incidents. Conventional tags are prone to physical damage and failure, which can compromise identification processes and hinder the repatriation of bodies.

Serotonin Degradation and Lipid Metabolism Regulate Human Tc2 Cell Effector Functions

Human Tc2 cells exhibit a metabolically active phenotype characterized by enhanced glycolysis, mitochondrial respiration, and fatty acid uptake dependent on PPARγ. Alarmins strongly amplify IL‐5 and IL‐13 production in Tc2 cells, supporting a shared immunometabolic program across type 2 lymphocytes.

Falls and Nursing Workload in Hospitalized Older Adults With Delirium: A Controlled Trial of 3D‐Radar‐Based Bed‐Exit Monitoring Versus Contact Mat

Using objectively verified fall data in hospitalized patients with delirium, a contactless three‐dimensional radar‐based bed‐exit monitoring system was associated with fewer bed‐exit‐related falls and lower bed‐exit‐related nursing workload than an analogue contact mat.
