Association between clopidogrel use and improved survival in critically ill patients with acute kidney injury: insights from MIMIC-IV database

open access: yesBMC Nephrology
Background Acute kidney injury (AKI) remains a frequent complication in intensive care unit (ICU) settings. Clopidogrel, a P2Y12 receptor inhibitor, has been reported to possess anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, immunomodulatory, and anti-apoptotic effects.

Aptamer‐Engineered Liposomal Platform Enables in Situ cDC1 Vaccination to Potentiate Immunotherapy in Prostate Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Prostate cancer is immunologically ‘cold’, with scarce, dysfunctional type 1 conventional dendritic cells (cDC1s) that limit T cell priming. We introduce an aptamer‐targeted liposomedelivering FMS‐like tyrosine kinase 3 ligand (Flt3L) and chlorin e6 (Ce6). Ultrasound induces antigen release and cDC1s recruitment, creating an in situ cDC1 vaccine.

Pre‐Regenerative Endothelial Cells Empowered by Antler Blood Exosomes Orchestrate Peripheral Nerve Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The pre‐regenerative vascular niche (PVN) is essential for nerve repair, yet its endothelial blueprint remains unclear. We identified angiogenic ECs (AECs) as the dominant pre‐regenerative subset and found that antler blood–derived exosomes (AB‐EXO) promote repair via IMP3.

Predictive Modeling of Anesthesia Types and Their Associations with Clinical Outcomes Using the MIMIC-IV Database

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Anesthesia
Background: Perioperative management plays a pivotal role in reducing complications and improving patient outcomes. The choice of anesthesia can significantly influence postoperative trajectories; however, current clinical practice lacks data-driven tools to support personalized selection. With the emergence of machine learning (ML) and access to large

TOLLIP Inhibits Psoriasis Progression via Suppressing PKM2‐Mediated Glycolysis in Keratinocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, we identify TOLLIP as a critical regulator of psoriasis pathogenesis through its modulation of glycolytic metabolism. Our findings establish the TOLLIP‐PKM2‐glycolysis axis as a key mechanism linking metabolic reprogramming to psoriasis pathogenesis, and propose TOLLIP as a promising therapeutic target.

Selenium Nanoparticles Selectively Target KRAS G13D to Inhibit Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The mechanisms of SeNPs therapy in cancer treatment, encompass three parallel actions: (1) seleno‐amino acids, key metabolites, upregulate GPX2 expression, thereby inhibiting tumor metastasis via the GPX2‐HIF1α‐VEGF signaling pathway; (2) selenite (SeO32−), an inorganic metabolite, forms hydrogen bonds with amino acid residues 13–17 of the KRAS G13D ...

RNAi in the Rhizarian Phytopathogen Plasmodiophora brassicae: The Causal Agent of Clubroot Disease in Cruciferous Crops

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers an unusual RNAi pathway in the rhizarian pathogen Plasmodiophora brassicae. In the absence of Dicer, a Drosha‐like RNase III protein supports the biogenesis of predominant 21‐nt small RNAs, and two Argonaute proteins mediate small RNA‐guided silencing.

Gm26550 Modulates Learning and Memory by Increasing IGF1 mRNA Expression and Stability in Nrf2−/− Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The present study shows that Nrf2 directly binds to the Gm26550 promoter, thereby activating Gm26550 transcription and increasing its expression. Mechanistically, Gm26550 promotes IGF1 expression by functionally antagonizing miR‐26a‐5p‐mediated repression and sequestering the RBP KHSRP, thereby enhancing hippocampal neuronal synaptic plasticity and ...
