Chemical study of Mimosa tenuiflora barks
Natural Product Research, 2020 Mimosa tenuiflora (Willd.) Poir., popularly known as “black jurema”, is a plant that is predominant in the Caatinga Biome. Drinks used in indigenous rituals use the barks of this plant that are rich in N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT), an indolic alkaloid responsible for hallucinogenic activity.

Unraveling the plant diversity of the Amazonian canga through DNA barcoding
Ecology and Evolution, Volume 11, Issue 19, Page 13348-13362, October 2021., 2021 Here we bring genetic information for the unique flora of the canga of the Serra dos Carajás in Eastern Amazon. DNA barcodes were obtained for 538 species, 323 genera, and 115 families of vascular plants, with 344 species being characterized for the first time.
