Barriers and enablers to patient recruitment for randomised controlled trials on treatment of chronic wounds: A systematic review

open access: yesInternational Wound Journal, Volume 15, Issue 6, Page 880-892, December 2018., 2018
Randomised controlled trials represent the gold standard in intervention efficacy evaluation. However, suboptimal recruitment affects completion and the power of a therapeutic trial in detecting treatment differences. We conducted a systematic review to examine the barriers and enablers to patient recruitment for randomised controlled trials on chronic

Tolerance to 1 year of drought: The role of seed hydration memory in the germination and early seedling development of Xiquexique gounellei subsp. gounellei under prolonged water deficit

open access: yesPlant Species Biology, Volume 41, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study investigates the impacts of hydration–dehydration cycles (HD cycles) on the germination and early growth of Xiquexique gounellei subsp. gounellei. Our findings demonstrate that HD cycles significantly influence seed germination behavior. However, we observed that memory expression varies according to the plant's life stage.
