Introduction: Mixed neuroendocrine-nonendocrine neoplasms (MiNENs) of the digestive tract are rare. They contain both neuroendocrine and nonendocrine components. We here report a rare case of a metastatic MiNEN originating in the ascending colon.

Background The majority of gastrointestinal tumors are adenocarcinomas. Rarely, there are other types of tumors, such as acinar cell carcinoma, and these are often called pancreatic-type acinar cell carcinomas. Among these tumors, some are differentiated

Ultrasound enables non‐invasive activation of metal‐based therapeutics deep within tumors. Acoustic cavitation can drive sonodynamic reactive oxygen species generation or mechanochemical metal–ligand bond dissociation, enabling controlled release of bioactive payloads.

Genetic alterations of GI‐NECs involving three main signaling pathways
Background Gastrointestinal (GI)‐neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) are subclassified in neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), neuroendocrine carcinomas (NECs), and mixed neuroendocrine–non‐neuroendocrine neoplasms (MiNENs).
