Early‐life exposure of rats to high‐fat‐isocaloric diet leads to metabolically obese, normal‐weight phenotype, and impaired cognition. Hippocampal transcriptomic analysis reveals disruption in pathways linked to obesity and cognitive decline, which is mitigated by perinatal leptin supplementation. PBMC share common altered genes with hippocampus, which

Summary Algal blooms and their demise by viruses drive global‐scale ecological processes in the ocean. These blooms form the foundation of marine food webs, regulate microbial communities, and shape biogeochemical cycles. Although algal populations are constantly infected by viruses, resistant subpopulations frequently emerge after the infection.

Fluoride Stimulates the Proliferation of Osteoclasts in vitro by Upregulating MCM3 [PDF]
We have previously shown that the expression of the minichromosome maintenance protein 3 (MCM3) gene was upregulated in lymphocytes of patients with skeletal fluorosis.

Site-specific DNA Mapping of Protein Binding Orientation Using Azidophenacyl Bromide (APB)
The orientation of a DNA-binding protein bound on DNA is determinative in directing the assembly of other associated proteins in the complex for enzymatic action.

Improved Screening for Anal Neoplasia by Immunocytochemical Detection of Minichromosome Maintenance Proteins [PDF]
Abstract Purpose: Early detection of anal intraepithelial neoplasia (AIN) and anal squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) by screening will improve clinical outcome. Assessment of anal cytology samples using routine Papanicolaou testing suffers from shortcomings in sensitivity and/or specificity, suggesting that screening tests based on ...

Targeting Kupffer cells (KC) with a single intravenous infusion of the oncolytic virus VSV‐M51R rather than VSV‐WT induces effective tumor regression in various types of liver metastatic cancers in mice. VSV‐M51R promotes KC proliferation and enhances their antigen cross‐presentation capacity without compromising viability, leading to the induction of ...

Role of the ubiquitin-selective CDC-48/UFD-1/NPL-4 chaperone in DNA replication [PDF]
Faithful transmission of genomic information requires tight spatiotemporal regulation of DNA replication factors. Posttranslational modifications, such as ubiquitylation, constitute a fast and effective mechanism to control such complex protein function.

ABSTRACT Maternally inherited transcripts are crucial for the developmental competence of salmon embryos. Due to the wide variety of broodstock conditioning approaches used in commercial aquaculture, there is a need to understand how dynamic commercial environments impact the egg transcriptome and subsequent quality.
