LANA-mediated latent DNA replication is essential for efficient maintenance of KSHV episomes in the host. During latency, virus relies on the host cellular machinery for replication, which occurs in synchrony with the cellular DNA.

1. Ras inhibition (Salirasib) combined with c‐Myc targeting blocks MCM2‐driven DNA replication, inducing cell‐cycle arrest and apoptosis. 2. Dual inhibition remodels the immunosuppressive TME, polarising macrophages to M1 and enhancing PD‐L1 blockade efficacy. 3.

Heterochromatin and RNAi Are Required to Establish CENP-A Chromatin at Centromeres [PDF]
Heterochromatin is defined by distinct posttranslational modifications on histones, such as methylation of histone H3 at lysine 9 (H3K9), which allows heterochromatin protein 1 (HP1)–related chromodomain proteins to bind.

mRNA expression of minichromosome maintenance 2 in colonic adenoma and adenocarcinoma
As proliferation is essential for progression from normal cells to tumor, certain markers specific to proliferating cells may permit detection of premalignant lesions. Here, we aimed to evaluate the possible value of a proliferation marker, minichromosome maintenance 2 (MCM2), in the early diagnosis of colorectal cancer, by analyzing the difference in ...

A conserved MCM single-stranded DNA binding element is essential for replication initiation [PDF]
The ring-shaped MCM helicase is essential to all phases of DNA replication. The complex loads at replication origins as an inactive double-hexamer encircling duplex DNA.

Minichromosome maintenance protein 10 as a marker for proliferation and prognosis in lung cancer.
DNA replication is a vital process in cell division where anomalies can lead to tumorigenesis. Minichromosome maintenance complex component 10 (MCM10) plays a crucial role in this process. However, the role of MCM10 in lung cancer pathogenesis remains to

We have uncovered a novel mechanism by which HROB modulates cell proliferation in lung adenocarcinoma. Our findings suggest that HROB recruits ZC3HC1 and mediates its de‐phosphorylation at Ser354, which in turn promotes K27‐linked ubiquitination of CCNB1, leading to its proteasomal degradation.

Resting cells rely on the DNA helicase component MCM2 to build cilia [PDF]
Minichromosome maintenance (MCM) proteins facilitate replication by licensing origins and unwinding the DNA double strand. Interestingly, the number of MCM hexamers greatly exceeds the number of firing origins suggesting additional roles of MCMs. Here we
