Stone and Flat Topologies on the Minimal Prime Spectrum of a Commutator Lattice
In previous work we have studied minimal prime spectra, as well as extensions of universal algebras whose term condition commutator behaves like the modular commutator in the sense that it is commutative and distributive with respect to arbitrary joins ...

Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

A minimal stabilisation procedure for mixed finite element methods.
Stabilisation methods are often used to circumvent the difficulties associated with the stability of mixed finite element methods. Stabilisation however also means an excessive amount of dissipation or the loss of nice conservation properties.

The separate vertical wire (SVW) technique and the improved candy box (CB) technique have been proposed for treating inferior pole patellar fractures. However, there is still a lack of clear explanation regarding the location of the wire passing through ...

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

When using the Galerkin FEM for solving the Helmholtz equation in two dimensions, the error of the corresponding solution differs substantially from the error of the best approximation, and this effect increases with higher wave number k.

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

A minimal element in 5′UTR of insulin mRNA mediates its translational regulation by glucose
Glucose induced translation of insulin in pancreatic beta cells is mediated by the 5′UTR of insulin mRNA. We determined the minimal sequence/structure in the 5′UTR of rat insulin gene1 for this regulation.
