TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

The Minimal Element of Writing

open access: yes
Jacques Derrida claims that the mark constitutes the minimal element of writing — what he calls ‘the irreducible atom’1 at the asemic origin for the metaphysics of meaning itself (be this origin in the biogenetic code of life or the cybernetic code of ...

MINIMAL ENUMERATIONS

open access: yes, 1997
The work covers the minimal calculated enumerations in the families of the recursive-enumerated sets. The aim is to find the internal criteria for minimality of enumerations, to develop the effective methods for construction of the minimal-calculated ...

Application of hybrid Trefftz finite element method to non-linear problems of minimal surface

open access: yes, 2015
This investigation provides a hybrid Trefftz finite element approach for analysing minimal surface problems. The approach is based on combining Trefftz finite element formulation with radial basis functions (RBF) and the analogue equation method (AEM ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Multiscale modelling and an experimental investigation on size-scale effects in concrete

open access: yes, 2010
Includes abstract.Includes bibliographical references (leaves 82-90).Classical continuum mechanics assumes that constitutive parameters are associated with a so-called Representative Volume Element (RVE) and are a statistical average.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Minimal ∗-varieties and superinvolutions

open access: yes
We introduce a class of finite dimensional superalgebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero, whose Grassmann envelopes generate all $\ast$-minimal varieties.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
