Experience With Performing Rheocarna Therapy via the Single‐Needle Method for Treatment of Chronic Limb‐Threatening Ischemia

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction This study investigated the safety and efficacy of single‐needle Rheocarna therapy for chronic limb‐threatening ischemia (CLTI) with wounds. Methods Six patients with CLTI involving ulcers unresponsive to revascularization underwent single‐needle Rheocarna treatment.

Minimalism and Evolution

open access: yesFrontiers in Communication, 2019
Minimalism proposes that universal grammar (UG) is a characteristic of human thought, also known as I-language, whose main component is the operation Merge, providing for the generative and recursive properties of human thought and language.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Extraction from NP, frequency, and minimalist gradient harmonic grammar

open access: yesLinguistics, 2022
Extraction of a PP from an NP in German is possible only if the head noun and the governing verb together form a natural predicate. We show that this corresponds to collocational frequency of the verb-noun combinations in corpora, based on the metric of ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Constructions in Minimalism: A Functional Perspective on Cyclicity

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2020
This article presents a perspective on syntactic cyclicity in minimalism that is compatible with fundamental ideas in construction–grammar approaches.

Materialism to Minimalism

open access: yes, 2021
In the modern era, happiness is often measured in terms of wealth, possession, and abundance. However, contrary to what the current capitalist, consumerist society wants its members to believe, less is actually more. The ubiquitous culture of materialism

Minimal Coding

open access: yesAnnals of Pure and Applied Logic, 1989
It is shown that the real in Jensen's coding theorem can be minimal over the model to be coded. The almost-disjoint forcing part in Jensen's proof is replaced by some kind of perfect set forcing. Before giving the rather involved proof the author gives the special cases when the set to be minimally coded is a subset of \(\omega_ 1\), \(\omega_ 2\), or \

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

The effect of instructional design based on minimalism theory on learning and retention of students in higher education [PDF]

open access: yesپژوهش در نظام‌های آموزشی, 2020
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the minimalism theory on learning and retention of learners in IT courses. Minimalist Theory consists of a basic framework that combines self-directed learning activities with technology, which ...
