Additive Manufacturing of Patient‐Specific Intracranial Aneurysm Cell Culture Models

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Patient‐specific intracranial aneurysm models were fabricated using chocolate moulding, 3D printed water‐soluble cores, and direct resin 3D printing. Moulding PDMS around sacrificial cores made of chocolate or 3D printed water‐soluble resin yielded accurate, expandable, and endothelializable models that outperformed resin‐based approaches.

An assessment of the Sensititre method for determining minimum inhibitory and bactericidal concentrations. [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Pathology, 1978
Minimum inhibitory and bactericidal concentrations of various antibiotics were determined for 90 strains of five organisms by Sensititre and compared with those obtained by conventional methods. Results by both methods corrleated well. The advantages and limitations of Sensititre are discussed.

RETREG1‐Mediated Reticulophagy is Essential for Dendritic Cell Maturation and Function in Sepsis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Reticulophagy regulator 1 (RETREG1) maintains dendritic cell (DC) maturation and function in early sepsis. Mechanistically, activating transcription factor 6 (ATF6) acts as a direct transcription factor regulating RETREG1 expression in response to sepsis‐induced endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress.
