A method for determining the characteristics of the steady creep of a single crystal alloy

open access: yesАвіаційно-космічна техніка та технологія, 2022
The subject of this article is the phenomenon of material destruction during creep, as one of the most dangerous and damaging effects on turbine blades in the conditions of their operation.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Short-term creep approach to redefining the role of 17-4PH stainless steel for high-temperature applications

open access: yesScientific Reports
The creep response of the 17-4PH martensitic age-hardening steel in H1150 state was investigated at 427 and 482 °C. Hardness measurements of the heads of the creep samples demonstrated that the material underwent additional age hardening during the high ...

Enhanced creep resistance of Y-bearing 9Cr ferritic/martensitic steel via vacuum casting technique

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2019
9Cr ferritic/martensitic (F/M) steels with 0 and 0.3 wt.% yttrium (Y) addition were fabricated via vacuum casting technique and were creep tested at 650 °C and 120 MPa. The creep property of 9Cr F/M steel was improved by the addition of yttrium.

Creep-fatigue life assessment of cruciform weldments using the linear matching method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper presents a creep-fatigue life assessment of a cruciform weldment made of the steel AISI type 316N(L) and subjected to reversed bending and cyclic dwells at 550C using the Linear Matching Method (LMM) and considering different weld zones.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

The role of particle ripening on the creep acceleration of Nimonic 263 superalloy

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2014
Physically based constitutive equations need to incorporate the most relevant microstructural features of materials to adequately describe their mechanical behaviour. To accurately model the creep behaviour of precipitation hardened alloys, the value and

A Minimum Creep Rate for 2-1/4Cr-1Mo Steel Consistent With the ASME Section III, Division 5 Rules

open access: yesJournal of Pressure Vessel Technology, 2021
Abstract This technical note describes a minimum creep rate model for 2-1/4Cr-1Mo steel that is consistent with the current creep strain equation embedded in the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section III, Division 5, Subsection HB, Subpart B isochronous stress–strain curves.

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Preearthquake and Postearthquake Creep on the Imperial Fault and the Brawley Fault Zone [PDF]

open access: yes, 1982
Taken together, 12 years of alinement-array data, 4 years of creepmeter records from four instruments, and 2 years of surveys from two nail files suggests that creep events on the Imperial fault 2 to 5 months before the October 15 earthquake are ...
