Study on creep behavior and microstructure of a Fe–Cr–Al–Nb–W ferrtic heat-resistant steel based on C, N and Al element control

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2020
In this work, the effects of C, N, and Al on the microstructures and creep properties of Fe–Cr–Al–Nb–W ferritic alloys were investigated through scanning electron microscopy, x-ray diffractometry, as well as uniaxial creep testing and hardness testing ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Creep behaviour of the creep resistant MgY3Nd2Zn1Mn1 alloy

open access: yes, 2008
Creep, microstructure and failure of the squeeze cast MgY3Nd2Zn1Mn1 alloy were investigated. The tensile creep tests were performed at 300 °C and constant load in the stress range 30-80 MPa.

Study on creep rate prediction model of compacted graphite cast iron under wide range of temperature and stress based on PHNN

open access: yesJixie qiangdu
ObjectiveAiming at the problem that existing models for predicting the minimum creep rate of compacted graphite cast iron under wide temperature and stress ranges still have large errors, optimization research on the prediction method was carried out to ...

Relationship between Minimum Creep Rate and Rupture Life for a Die-Cast Mg-Al-Mn Alloy

open access: yesMATERIALS TRANSACTIONS, 2008
Creep rupture tests were performed for a die-cast Mg-Al-Mn alloy, AM50, at 34 kinds of creep conditions in the temperature range between 423 and 498K. The creep curve is characterized by a minimum in the creep rate followed by an extended accelerating stage.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Commercialisation of impression creep testing

open access: yesUbiquity Proceedings, 2018
Impression creep testing is a technique in which the deformation resulting from load applied via a rectangular indenter can be converted relatively straightforwardly into a proxy for creep minimum strain rate.

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have
