In this paper we introduce an intersection graph of a graph G, with vertex set the minimum edge-cuts of G. We find the minimum cut-set graphs of some well-known families of graphs and study the mincut graph as a graph operator.

Minimum s-t cut in undirected planar graphs when the source and the sink are close [PDF]
Consider the minimum s-t cut problem in an embedded undirected planar graph. Let p be the minimum number of faces that a curve from s to $t$ passes through.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Identification of Critical Transmission Sections Considering N-K Contingencies Under Extreme Events
Monitoring critical transmission sections is essential for ensuring the operational security of power grids. This paper proposes a systematic method to identify critical transmission sections using the maximum flow–minimum cut theorem.

An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

The physical dimensions and shape of bacterial cells define the surface area available to acquire nutrients and the volume available for synthesizing proteins and DNA. Here, we use computational systems biology to decode the importance of cell geometry as a major determinant of prokaryotic phenotype, including growth rate and metabolic efficiency. This

Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.
