Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

A Time-Varying Generalised Minimum Variance Controller

open access: yes, 2008
:- A generalised minimum variance controller is developed for linear time-varying systems. The plants to be controlled are described using a controlled autoregressive moving average model and are exponentially stable.

Ship roll stabilization control with low speed loss

open access: yes, 2014
Large roll motion induced by waves can severely affect the ability of vessels and the speed will loss due to added resistance which caused by ship motions, especially in moderate to high sea states. With increasing needs of fuel efficiency and greenhouse

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

The limits to minimum-variance hedging

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, we compare the estimated minimum-variance hedge ratios from a range of conditional hedging models with the 'realized' minimum variance hedge ratio constructed using intraday data.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

A Hybrid Method to Improve Forecasting Accuracy : Application to J-REIT(commerce, hotel, and logistics type)stock market prices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
P(論文)Given that the equation of the exponential smoothing method (ESM) is equivalent to the (1,1) order ARMA model equation, a new method of estimation of the smoothing constant in the exponential smoothing method was proposed before by us which ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

GMV control of nonlinear multivariable systems

open access: yes, 2004
A Generalized Minimum Variance control law is derived for the control of nonlinear, possibly time-varying multivariable systems. The solution for the control law is original and was obtained in the time-domain using a simple operator representation of ...
