Refinements of some classical inequalities via superquadraticity

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2022
Some new refined versions of the Jensen, Minkowski, and Hardy inequalities are stated and proved. In particular, these results both generalize and unify several results of this type. Some results are also new for the classical situation.

Mean Curvature Flow with a Neumann Boundary Condition in Flat Spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this thesis I study mean curvature flow in both Euclidean and Minkowski space with a Neumann boundary condition. In Minkowski space I show that for a convex timelike cone boundary condition, with compatible spacelike initial data, mean curvature flow

On the Minkowski content of self-similar random homogeneous iterated function systems

open access: yes, 2023
The Minkowski content of a compact set is a fine measure of its geometric scaling. For Lebesgue null sets it measures the decay of the Lebesgue measure of epsilon neighbourhoods of the set.

Single Linkage Weighted Steepest Gradient Adaboost Cluster-Based D2D in 5G Networks

open access: yesJournal of Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2023
Efficiency of data transmissions with minimum latency levels and better resource utilization is a challenging issue in 5 G device-to-device (D 2D) environments.

Classification of lung disease in HRCT scans using integral geometry measures and functional data analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A framework for classification of chronic lung disease from high-resolution CT scans is presented. We use a set of features which measure the local morphology and topology of the 3D voxels within the lung parenchyma and apply functional data classification

ON MINKOWSKI MEASURABILITY

open access: yes, 2011
Two "pathological" properties of Minkowski content are that countable sets can have positive content (unlike Hausdorff measures) and the property of a set being Minkowski measurable is quite rare. In this paper, we explore both of these issues.

Welfare and Felt Duration

open access: yesNoûs, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT How should we understand the duration of a pleasant or unpleasant sensation, insofar as its duration modulates how good or bad the experience is overall? Given that we seem able to distinguish between subjective and objective duration and that how well or badly someone's life goes is naturally thought of as something to be assessed from her ...

Bethe–Salpeter bound-state structure in Minkowski space

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
The quantitative investigation of the scalar Bethe–Salpeter equation in Minkowski space, within the ladder-approximation framework, is extended to include the excited states.

Discover Class‐Based Feature Distribution by Encoding Discrete Data for Classification

open access: yesExpert Systems, Volume 43, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT The self‐organisation map is an unsupervised learning technique that discovers patterns and relationships in data without requiring labelled training data. Inspired by the self‐organisation map, Self‐Organised Granular encoding has been shown to be effective for generating reliable discrete data clustering results as it is a data encoding ...
