The Regulation of Exosome-Mediated miR-132-3p/miR-132-3p-UUU on Radiation-Induced Esophageal Injury
Radiation Research, 2023Radiation-induced esophageal injury (RIEI) is a major dose-limiting complication of radiotherapy, mainly acute esophagitis. However, understanding of radiation injury and repair mechanisms in esophageal epithelial cells remains limited. MiR-132-3p and its uridylated isoform (miR-132-3p-UUU) are upregulated in radiation esophageal injury, yet their role

The outstanding role of miR-132-3p in carcinogenesis of solid tumors
Human Cell, 2021MicroRNAs are a group of short non-coding RNAs (miRNAs), which are epigenetically involved in gene expression and other cellular biological processes and can be considered as potential biomarkers for cancer detection and support for treatment management.

MiR-132-3p activation aggravates renal ischemia-reperfusion injury by targeting Sirt1/PGC1alpha axis
Cellular Signalling, 2023The pathogenesis of renal ischemic diseases remains unclear. In this study, we demonstrate the induction of microRNA-132-3p (miR-132-3p) in ischemic acute kidney injury (AKI) and cultured renal tubular cells under oxidative stress. miR-132-3p mimic increased apoptosis in renal tubular cells and enhanced ischemic AKI in mice, whereas miR-132-3p ...

Circulating miR-146a-5p and miR-132–3p as potential diagnostic biomarkers in epilepsy
Epilepsy Research, 2023MiRNAs are important gene-regulating agents in epilepsy development, according to new research. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between serum expression of miR-146a-5p and miR-132-3p and epilepsy in Egyptian patients as potential diagnostic and therapeutic biomarkers.MiR-146a-5p and miR-132-3p were measured in the serum of ...

Arid2-IR downregulates miR-132-3p through methylation to promote LPS-induced ALI in pneumonia
Inhalation Toxicology, 2022Arid2-IR is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) that promotes renal injury, while its role in lipopolysaccharides (LPS)-induced acute lung injury (ALI) is unknown. Our preliminary sequencing analysis revealed an inverse correlation of Arid2-IR and miR-132-3p, which is known to suppress LPS-induced ALI.

Abstract Hepatic metastasis is a major cause of colorectal cancer (CRC)-related deaths. Presently, the role of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in hepatic metastases from CRC is elusive. We dissected possible interplay between LINC00858/miR-132-3p/IGF2BP1 via bioinformatics approaches. Subsequently we analyzed mRNA expression of LINC00858,

MiR-132-3p serves as a tumor suppressor in mantle cell lymphoma via directly targeting SOX11
Naunyn-Schmiedeberg's Archives of Pharmacology, 2020Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is an uncommon type of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), comprising about 6% of NHL cases. SOX11 is a member of the group C of Sry-related high-mobility group (HMG) box (Sox) transcription factors, which is ubiquitously expressed in approximate 90% MCL cases.

Titanium and its alloys have been widely used as bone implants, but for reduced treatment span, improvements are urgently needed to achieve faster and better osteointegration. In this study, we found that miR-132-3p inhibited bone-marrow-derived stem cell (BMSC) osteogenic differentiation via targeting BMP2, and that inhibiting miR-132-3p could ...

AbstractPrevious study showed that miRNA aberrant expression is involved in chondrogenic differentiation. In this study, we aimed to investigate the effects of miR‐132‐3p on chondrogenic differentiation and the underlying mechanisms. First, quantitative PCR were performed to determine the level of MiR‐132‐3p.

Downregulation of GSK3B by miR-132-3p Enhances Etoposide-Induced Breast Cancer Cell Apoptosis.
Annals of clinical and laboratory science, 2021MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been confirmed to play an essential role in modulating cancer cell proliferation, metastasis, and sensitivity to chemotherapy. However, the correlation between miR-132-3p expression and etoposide (VP16) induced apoptosis in human breast cancer cells remains poorly understood.Six datasets, including three gene expression profile ...
