The Factorial Structure of the Amsterdam Preoperative Anxiety and Information Scale in Parents of Pediatric Surgical Patients: An Item Response Theory Analysis

In the analysis of the Amsterdam Operative Anxiety and Information Scale (APAIS) using Item Response Theory, no previously published structure showed a good model fit. The original two‐factor structure showed the best fit. In this solution, the factors also demonstrated high reliability across a wide range of the measured latent variables.
