Mislocalization in Visual Space

Archives of Neurology, 1972
Nineteen patients with homonymous visual field defects due to cerebral lesions mislocalized targets at the midline of the visual field, or at the midvertical boundary of homonymous visual field defects. The mislocalization was to the "good side" and away from the patient.

The Ethics of Mislocalized Selfhood

Performance Research, 2017
In Psychology, 'proprioceptive drift' is a term that originates from the rubber hand illusion paradigm to describe the 'relative displacement of the perceived location of one's own hand toward the location of the rubber hand' (Wold et al, 2014). Correspondingly, drift measurements in science are used as a means of rating the intensity of a body ...

Arrival-time Residuals and Hypocentre Mislocation

pure and applied geophysics, 1996
It is shown that the arrival-time residuals and hypocentre mislocation are two mutually independent consequences of the inaccurate seismic model and inaccurately measured arrival times. The minimum residuals resulting from the kinematic hypocentre determination contain no information on the accuracy in determining the hypocentre position.

Feature mislocalizations and misjudgments of intercharacter distance

Psychological Research, 1982
Three experiments were conducted to gather evidence for Wolford's (1975) feature perturbation model and claims derived from it. The first experiment found that perturbation or mislocalization of features toward the foveal center predominated when a distinctive standard for localization was presented and short-term memory factors were minimized.

Functional nitric oxide synthase mislocalization in cardiomyopathy

Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology, 2004
Mutations in the dystrophin glycoprotein complex, and in particular the sarcoglycan subcomplex, lead to cardiomyopathy and muscular dystrophy. Mice with mutations in gamma-sarcoglycan or delta-sarcoglycan develop cardiomyopathy that is characterized by focal regions of tissue damage. These focally damaged regions constitute 0-5% of cardiac tissue.

The location and mislocation of subcrustal earthquakes

Physics of the Earth and Planetary Interiors, 1978
Abstract In regions, such as subduction zones, with systematic velocity variations from the travel-time model, the estimated hypocentres may be significantly mislocated and the estimated hypocentres may depend strongly on the stations and phases used.

Representation of Letters When Mislocation Errors Occur

The Journal of General Psychology, 1990
Errors in reporting a cued target letter appearing among a string of letters more often reflect the mislocation of a letter appearing elsewhere in the string than the intrusion of one not in the string. The current experiment was conducted to determine the representation of letters at the stage at which errors occur.
