Advanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.
Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.Yulia Steksova, Anna Chiara Bressi, Marina Galliani, Attilio Marino, Gianni Ciofani, Eduardo Machado‐Charry, Hilda Gomez Bernal, Alessandra Francini, Luca Sebastiani, Francesco Greco +9 morewiley +1 more sourceAdvances in Sustainable and Wearable Textile Based Soft Robotics
Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView. This Review examines advances in wearable textile‐based soft robotics, focusing on sustainable materials, integrated sensing, and scalable actuation. It discusses manufacturing and system integration across healthcare, assistive robotics, prosthetics, and human–machine interfaces, and highlights key challenges in circular design, including life‐cycle ...Zahir Abbas, Marzia Dulal, Sophia K. Advanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.Chitosan‐coated melatonin nanoemulsions (MN) recovered from a sounding rocket mission preserve droplet size and controlled‐release behavior, whereas uncoated nanoemulsions show ageing‐driven droplet growth and increased accessible drug fraction. Simple polymer coatings thus enhance the flight resilience of liquid space medicines under cumulative launch Modupe Adebowale, Nguyen Van Duc Long, Philip M. Advanced Materials, EarlyView.Magnetic doping of the topological insulator Bi2Te3 with erbium adatoms induces out‐of‐plane magnetism and breaks time‐reversal symmetry, opening a Dirac gap and driving a Fermi surface transition from hexagonal to star‐of‐David geometry. Microscopy, spectroscopy, and magnetic dichroism reveal atomically controlled magnetic interactions that tailor the Beatriz Muñiz Cano, Fabián Calleja, Ji Dai, Massimo Tallarida, Vera Marinova, Alessandro Barla, Marc G.
