Formation of Condition‐Dependent Alpha‐Synuclein Fibril Strain in Artificial Cerebrospinal Fluid
α‐synuclein aggregation in artificial cerebrospinal fluid (aCSF) leads to a distinct conformation with an electron density pocket motif found in aggregates from PD and MSA patients. Such fibrils has low stability outside the reaction conditions, hinting about the influence of cerebrospinal fluid components not only on the formation, but also on the ...

An actin‐like protein (green) in Leishmania donovani promastigotes is mainly localized in the mitochondrion. Depletion of the intracellular levels of this protein leads to a decrease in mitochondrial function and also impairment of flagellum assembly and motility. Nucleus and kinetoplast (cyan) are also shown. For further details readers are referred to the article by Singh et al. on pp. 562–578 of this issue. [PDF]

This study establishes a robust and reproducible protocol for generating human otic neuronal spheroids (hONS) from cryopreserved hPSC‐derived pre‐placodal ectoderm cells. These hONS further differentiate into functional SGN‐like neurons, which extend neurite projections toward both murine hair cells and human cortical organoids, thereby forming ...

In this study, scRNA‐seq and chemoproteomics are integrated to characterize CDDP‐bound proteins at single‐cell resolution in tumor‐bearing mice. Additionally, the research demonstrates that ICA alleviates CDDP‐induced nephrotoxicity while enhancing its chemotherapeutic efficacy.

PFOA exposure induces pregnancy loss by promoting glutaminolysis, which further causes ammonia accumulation in macrophages. Cellular ammonia retention results in damage to mitochondria and lysosomes, which leads to cell death eventually. Impaired lysosomes also decrease the secretion of the Cathepsin B (CTSB), and attenuate macrophage infiltration and ...
