Oxidative Stress in the Tumor Immune Microenvironment: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Perspectives

open access: yesMedComm – Oncology, Volume 5, Issue 2, June 2026.
Oxidative stress is involved in several key processes in cancer, including redox regulation, DNA damage, post‐translational modifications, transcriptional regulation, epigenetic modifications, metabolic reprogramming, cell death, and immune modulation. These mechanisms collectively influence tumor progression, immune evasion, and therapeutic responses,

Plasma Proteomics Identifies Thousand‐and‐One–Amino Acid Kinase 3 as a Potential Biomarker of Rheumatoid Arthritis Activity and a Novel Therapeutic Target

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Volume 78, Issue 5, Page 1045-1061, May 2026.
Objective Bone destruction associated with active rheumatoid arthritis (RA) remains a major therapeutic challenge, with a lack of reliable molecular markers reflecting bone injury. This study aims to identify novel biomarkers linked to bone destruction in active RA through proteomic analysis, providing new strategies for precise monitoring and targeted

Next‐Generation Sustainable Food Production Through Integrative Biotechnology, AI, and Climate‐Resilient Innovations

open access: yesFood and Energy Security, Volume 15, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
ABSTRACT By 2050, the global population is projected to reach ~10 billion, leading to 50% increase in food demand. This growth will place immense pressure on agricultural systems that are already struggling with the impacts of climate change and resource depletion.

Comprehensive Evaluation of the Anti‐Inflammatory Activity of Ling‐Zhi‐8 (LZ‐8) In Vitro and a Rheumatoid Arthritis Animal Model

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
LZ‐8 reduced IL‐6 and COX‐2 in LPS‐stimulated macrophages, partly by inhibiting MyD88‐mediated JNK‐MAPK signaling. LZ‐8 reduced inflammation and swelling in the ankle and palm of the feet in the animal model. High‐dose LZ‐8 reduced synovial hyperplasia, and all doses protected articular cartilage.

Octreotide Counteracts IFN‐γ‐Induced Endothelial Inflammation

open access: yesJournal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, Volume 40, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Endothelial cells maintain vascular homeostasis through the regulation of permeability and coagulation. Interferon‐gamma (IFN‐γ), a proinflammatory cytokine released by activated T lymphocytes and natural killer cells, disrupts endothelial junctional integrity, leading to barrier dysfunction.
