Combined transarterial chemoembolization and arterial administration of Bletilla striata in treatment of liver tumor in rats [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
AIM: To evaluate and compare the effect of combined transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) and arterial administration of Bletilla striata (a Chinese traditional medicine against liver tumor) versus TACE alone for the treatment of hepatocellular ...

Allergenicity, Genotoxicity and Subchronic Toxicity Assessment of IgG Binding Protein LT Produced From Aspergillus oryzae

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, Volume 45, Issue 8, Page 1614-1636, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Gastrointestinal health is one of the fastest growing areas in the food and beverage industry, as its importance to overall health and well‐being is becoming increasingly recognized. Immunoglobulins play a key role in protecting the gastrointestinal tract, and nonbovine sources of immunoglobulins (including camel milk, which has a long history

External validation of current quality care metrics after radical nephroureterectomy

open access: yesBJU International, Volume 136, Issue 2, Page 261-270, August 2025.
Objectives To externally validate the tetrafecta and pentafecta frameworks for assessing the quality of radical nephroureterectomy (RNU) and their correlation with oncological outcomes in patients with localised upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC).

Controlling Drug Release From Supramolecular Polymer Surfaces by a Click‐To‐Release Reaction

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, Volume 63, Issue 14, Page 2934-2943, 15 July 2025.
We present a strategy combining reactive supramolecular additives with a covalent click‐to‐release reaction for localized drug delivery. A trans‐cyclooctene additive releases a cytotoxic drug upon tetrazine administration. Fluorescent monitoring confirms release, and cytotoxic tests show effective cancer cell death.

Association pattern of reciprocal translocations induced by chemicals and ionizing radiation in mouse germ cells: a comparison between single and combined treatments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The similarity degree of chemical, ionizing radiation, and combined treatments of chemical plus ionizing radiation in their capacity to induce reciprocal translocations was analyzed by means of multivariate analysis techniques on mice germ cells.

Long‐term outcome of transurethral laser ablation for recurrent non‐muscle invasive bladder cancer: An EORTC risk‐matched study

open access: yesBJUI Compass, Volume 6, Issue 7, July 2025.
Abstract Introduction Elderly and comorbid patients with non‐muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) often undergo repeated transurethral resection of bladder tumour (TURBT) under general anaesthesia. Transurethral laser ablation (TULA) is an outpatient‐based alternative with lower morbidity, cost and carbon footprint, but its long‐term efficacy is not ...

The current and future role of systemic therapy in non–muscle‐invasive bladder cancer

open access: yesCancer, Volume 131, Issue 13, 1 July 2025.
Abstract Non–muscle‐invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) categorizes early‐stage urothelial carcinoma that has not invaded the bladder's muscle layer. Although it is initially treatable with transurethral resection, NMIBC has a high risk of recurrence and progression, which necessitates prolonged surveillance and intravesical therapies.
