Multichannel EMI Filter Performance Assessment by Mix Mode Injection

open access: yes2024 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility – EMC Europe
Multichannel measurements allow faster evaluation of Insertion Loss (IL) for Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) filters than traditional methods. This paper presents the multichannel measurement technique which enables determining both Differential Mode (DM) and Common Mode (CM) IL.

BMI‐1 modulation and trafficking during M phase in diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The schematic illustrates BMI‐1 phosphorylation during M phase, which triggers its translocation from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. In cycling cells, BMI‐1 functions within the PRC1 complex to mediate H2A K119 monoubiquitination. Following PTC596‐induced M phase arrest, phosphorylated BMI‐1 dissociates from PRC1 and is exported to the cytoplasm via its

Observations of heterogeneous reactions between Asian pollution and mineral dust over the Eastern North Pacific during INTEX-B [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In-situ airborne measurements of trace gases, aerosol size distributions, chemistry and optical properties were conducted over Mexico and the Eastern North Pacific during MILAGRO and INTEX-B.

Construction of optimal witness for unknown two-qubit entanglement

open access: yes, 2010
Whether entanglement in a state can be detected, distilled, and quantified without full state reconstruction is a fundamental open problem. We demonstrate a new scheme encompassing these three tasks for arbitrary two-qubit entanglement, by constructing ...

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

All-Grounded Passive Component Mixed-Mode Multifunction Biquadratic Filter and Dual-Mode Quadrature Oscillator Employing a Single Active Element

open access: yesTechnologies
This paper introduces a compact analog configuration that concurrently realizes a mixed-mode biquadratic filter and a dual-mode quadrature oscillator (QO) by employing a single differential differencing gain amplifier (DDGA) and all-grounded passive ...

Virtual noiseless amplification and Gaussian post-selection in continuous-variable quantum key distribution

open access: yes, 2012
The noiseless amplification or attenuation are two heralded filtering operations that enable respectively to increase or decrease the mean field of any quantum state of light with no added noise, at the cost of a small success probability.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Theory and experiment of entanglement in a quasi-phase-matched two-crystal source

open access: yes, 2005
We report new results regarding a source of polarization entangled photon-pairs created by the process of spontaneous parametric downconversion in two orthogonally oriented, periodically poled, bulk KTiOPO4 crystals (PPKTP).

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...
