In this paper we extend the work of Rautenbach and Szwarcfiter by giving a structural characterization of graphs that can be represented by the intersection of unit intervals that may or may not contain their endpoints. A characterization was proved independently by Joos, however our approach provides an algorithm that produces such a representation ...

Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.

We investigated the toxicity of 12 active compounds commonly found in herbal weight loss supplements (WLS) using human liver and colon cell models. Epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate was the only compound showing significant toxicity. Metabolic profiling revealed protein degradation, disrupted energy and lipid metabolism suggesting that the inclusion of EGCG ...

Graph-structured populations elucidate the role of deleterious mutations in long-term evolution
Birth-death models are used to understand the interplay of genetic drift and natural selection. While well-mixed populations remain unaffected by the order of birth and death and where selection acts, evolutionary outcomes in spatially structured ...

NF90–NF45 functions as a negative regulator of methyltransferase‐like 3/14 (METTL3/14)‐mediated N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) modification on primary microRNAs (pri‐miRNAs). NF90–NF45 binds to anti‐oncogenic pri‐miRNAs and inhibits their m6A modification, thereby suppressing the biogenesis of anti‐oncogenic miRNAs.

dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Nash equilibria sets in mixed extended 2x3 games [PDF]
We describe the Nash equilibria set as an intersection of best response graphs. The problem of Nash equilibria set construction for \hbox{two-person} mixed extended 2x3 games is studied.
