A Review on Mixed Matrix Membranes for Solvent Dehydration and Recovery Process

open access: yesMembranes, 2021
Solvent separation and dehydration are important operations for industries and laboratories. Processes such as distillation and extraction are not always effective and are energy-consuming.

Membrane Scattering in Curved Space with M-Momentum Transfer [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We study membrane scattering in a curved space with non-zero M-momentum p_{11} transfer. In the low-energy short-distance region, the membrane dynamics is described by a three-dimensional N=4 supersymmetric gauge theory.

Review: Mixed-Matrix Membranes with CNT for CO2 Separation Processes

open access: yesMembranes, 2021
The membranes’ role is of supreme importance in the separation of compounds under different phases of matter. The topic addressed here is based on the use of membranes on the gases separation, specifically the advantages of mixed-matrix membranes (MMMs ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Constructing Strong Interfacial Interactions under Mild Conditions in MOF-Incorporated Mixed Matrix Membranes for Gas Separation.

open access: yesACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2021
Although mixed matrix membranes (MMM) possess remarkably improved gas separation performance compared to traditional polymeric membranes, membrane stability including CO2 plasticization and aging is still a serious issue due to the existence of ...

BPS States and Minimal Surfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
It was observed recently, that the low energy effective action of the four-dimensional supersymmetric theories may be obtained as a certain limit of M Theory.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
