Flow dynamics of mixed traffic comprising connected autonomous vehicles and conventional vehicles

open access: yesCogent Engineering
Flow dynamics of mixed traffic, comprising connected autonomous vehicles (CAVs) and human-driven vehicles (HDVs) were elucidated by focusing on the CAV penetration rate and communication performance.

Modeling and Simulating Urban Traffic Flow Mixed With Regular and Connected Vehicles

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
In the upcoming decades, connected vehicles will join regular vehicles on the road, and the characteristics of traffic flows will change accordingly. To better understand mixed traffic flow (regular vehicles and connected vehicles) characteristics, a ...

Autophagosome marker, LC3, is released extracellularly via several distinct pathways

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study establishes a novel HiBiT‐tagging system for ultrasensitive detection of LC3, revealing multiple pathways for its extracellular secretion. It demonstrates that LC3 is released via both autophagy‐dependent and ‐independent mechanisms, including a novel route for nonlipidated LC3‐I.

Capacity Model for Single-Lane Minor Entry at Turbo-Roundabouts

open access: yesCivil and Environmental Engineering, 2021
Spirally arranged and physically separated traffic lanes in the circulatory carriageway of turbo-roundabouts force drivers to choose a particular entry lane and, subsequently, a circulatory traffic lane according to their intended destination.

Temporal variations of bicycle demand in the Netherlands: The influence of weather on cycling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The variability in bicycle demand depends strongly on weather. This paper describes a ‘weather’ model that makes demand forecasting possible. The model is based on flow time-series of many years, collected at 16 cycle paths in the Dutch cities of Gouda ...

Impact of traffic management on black carbon emissions: a microsimulation study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This paper investigates the effectiveness of traffic management tools, includ- ing traffic signal control and en-route navigation provided by variable message signs (VMS), in reducing traffic congestion and associated emissions of CO2, NOx, and black ...

BMI‐1 modulation and trafficking during M phase in diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The schematic illustrates BMI‐1 phosphorylation during M phase, which triggers its translocation from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. In cycling cells, BMI‐1 functions within the PRC1 complex to mediate H2A K119 monoubiquitination. Following PTC596‐induced M phase arrest, phosphorylated BMI‐1 dissociates from PRC1 and is exported to the cytoplasm via its

Operational characteristics of mixed traffic flow under bi-directional environment using cellular automaton

open access: yesJournal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering (English ed. Online), 2014
Mixed traffic flow composed of autos and non-autos widely exists in developing countries and areas. To investigate the operational characteristics of the mixed traffic flow consisting of vehicles in different types (large vehicles, cas, and bicycles), we

Identification of functional murine mitochondrial formyl peptides and their effects on myeloid‐derived suppressor cell generation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We first identified functional murine mitochondrial N‐formyl peptides (MT‐FPs) and investigated their effects on the in vitro myeloid‐derived suppressor cell (MDSC) generation from bone marrow cells. We demonstrated that MT‐FPs acted directly on bone marrow cells to promote MDSC generation and modulated the polymorphonuclear (PMN)‐MDSC/monocyte (M ...
