Neutrino mass, mixing and discrete symmetries
Status of the discrete symmetry approach to explanation of the lepton masses and mixing is summarized in view of recent experimental results, in particular, establishing relatively large 1-3 mixing.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Spatial Mixing of Coloring Random Graphs
We study the strong spatial mixing (decay of correlation) property of proper $q$-colorings of random graph $G(n, d/n)$ with a fixed $d$. The strong spatial mixing of coloring and related models have been extensively studied on graphs with bounded maximum

Entropic Forces in Geophysical Fluid Dynamics
Theories and numerical models of atmospheres and oceans are based on classical mechanics with added parameterizations to represent subgrid variability. Reformulated in terms of derivatives of information entropy with respect to large scale configurations,

Evaluation Criteria and Benefit Analysis of Mixing Process in Anaerobic Digesters of Biogas Plants
A valid method to evaluate decisions of a project proposal is the so-called cost-benefit analysis. Criteria are selected and properly weighted to determine if the project is effective and feasible.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Turbulent mixing: A perspective
Mixing of initially distinct substances plays an important role in our daily lives as well as in ecological and technological worlds. From the continuum point of view, which we adopt here, mixing is complete when the substances come together across ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Quark-Lepton universality and large leptonic mixing
A unified description of fermionic mixing is proposed which assumes that in certain basis ($i$) a single complex unitary matrix $V$ diagonalizes mass matrices of all fermions to the leading order, ($ii$) the SU(5) relation $M_d=M_l^T$ exists between the ...
