Analytical-Numerical Model for Temperature Prediction of a Serpentine Belt Drive System

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
The serpentine belt drive system is used in the auto industry. To avoid thermal destruction inside the belt drive and improve the thermal fatigue life of pulley materials under a variety of operating conditions, the temperature information for each load ...

GEVO-ML [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 2020 Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference Companion, 2020
Parallel accelerators, such as GPUs, are a key enabler of large-scale Machine Learning (ML) applications. However, programmers often lack detailed knowledge of the underlying architecture and fail to fully leverage their computational power. This paper proposes GEVO-ML, a tool for automatically discovering optimization opportunities and tuning the ...

Effect of carbon nanotube type and length on the electrical conductivity of carbon nanotube polymer nanocomposites

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2023
Carbon nanotube (CNT) type and length are two key factors that affect the electrical behavior of CNT/polymer nanocomposites. However, numerical studies that consider these two factors simultaneously are limited.

Timely ML

open access: yesReal-Time Systems
Abstract We propose two complementary research directions, “Time for ML” and “ML for Time”, that we believe to be critical for the deployment of machine-learning (ML) applications in time-sensitive applications. “Time for ML” refers to ML systems that are aware of and can adapt to dynamic time constraints regarding their execution, while “ML ...

Tracking Control of Magnetic Levitation System Using Model-Free RBF Neural Network Design

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This paper focuses on the tracking control problem of Magnetic Levitation System (MLS). MLS is highly unstable nonlinear system, in the process of operation, MLS needs to have strong robustness and anti-interference ability.

Multi-ML: Programming Multi-BSP Algorithms in ML [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Parallel Programming, 2016
bsp is a bridging model between abstract execution and concrete parallel systems. Structure and abstraction brought by bsp allow to have portable parallel programs with scalable performance predictions, without dealing with low-level details of architectures. In the past, we designed bsml for programming bsp algorithms in ml. However, the simplicity of

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.
