Lifetime Measurements in Mn I and Mn II

Physica Scripta, 1973
Radiative lifetimes in neutral and singly-ionized manganese have been measured from beam-foil spectra in the region 2 000-5 000 A, using 249 keV Mn+++ions from an electromagnetic isotope separator. Several of the transitions have been used in the determination of the Mn abundance in the solar photosphere.

A Mn II Cu II Mn II trinuclear species with an S= 9/2 ground state

Journal of the Chemical Society, Chemical Communications, 1986
The S= 9/2 ground state of a linear MnIICuIIMnII trinuclear complex arises from the parallel alignment of the local spins (5/2) of the two terminal MnII ions through antiferromagnetic interactions with the local spin (1/2) of the central CuII ion.

Progressive Reduction of the Mn-Catalase Mn(III)-Mn(III) State to the Mn(II)-Mn(III) and Mn(II)-Mn(II) States by Nitrogen Monoxide

1998
Addition of nitric oxide (NO) to the oxygen evolving Mn complex (OEC) of Photosystem II (PSII) has been shown to result in a series of consecutive reduction reactions which can be followed by EPR spectroscopy. By allowing the reaction to proceed at -30 °C, we have demonstrated that the S2 state of the OEC is rapidly reduced to the S1 state [1], while ...

Electrooxidative phosphorylation of coumarins by bimetallic catalytic systems Ni(II)/Mn(II) or Co(II)/Mn(II)

Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Silicon and the Related Elements, 2016
The phosphorylation of coumarins (coumarin, 6-methylcoumarin, 7-methylcoumarin) by catalytic oxidation of a mixture of coumarins and diethyl phosphite (1:1) in electrochemical mild conditions (room...

Determination of Mn(II) and Co(II) with Arsenazo III

Biochemistry (Moscow), 2002
Complex formation between Arsenazo III and Mn2+ and Co2+ at equilibrium has been investigated at pH 7.2, and the stoichiometry and stability of the complexes have been determined. The data indicate that Arsenazo III is suitable for determination of Mn2+ and Co2+ on the micromolar scale.

E.P.R. study of Mn(II) in a cubic ligand field Mn(II) doped hexaimidazolecadmium(II) nitrate

Molecular Physics, 1984
E.P.R. of Mn(II)-doped single crystals of hexaimidazolecadmium(II) nitrate has been studied in the temperature range 77 to 300K. The 300 K spectrum shows that the Mn(II) is in a nearly cubic field environment with the E.P.R. parameters : A = -82·1±0·5, a = 17·2 ± 0·5 and D < 2·0 (all in units of 10-4 cm-1) and g = 2·0019.

Complexes of Zn(II) and Mn(II) with biacetyldihydrazone

Polyhedron, 1982
Abstract The complexes [Zn(BdH)2Cl2] and [Mn(BdH)2Cl2] have been prepared and studied by IR, electronic and ESR spectroscopies and by magnetic measurements. All results agree with a molecular formula for both complexes and a distorted octahedral environment for the metal atoms.

PMS coupled Mn(II) mediated electrochemistry processes (E-Mn(II)-PMS) on the efficient RB19 wastewater treatment: Focus on the regulation and reinforcement of Mn(III)/Mn(II)

Environmental Research
Dye wastewater, represented by reactive blue 19 (RB19), severely threatens the aquatic ecological environment and human health, such that an efficient RB19 wastewater treatment technology should be urgently developed. Based on manganese ion-mediated electrochemistry, PMS was introduced to develop a novel electrocatalytic system (E-Mn(II)-PMS) that can ...
