On the fluid-mobility of molybdenum, tungsten, and antimony in subduction systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Molybdenum (Mo) and tungsten (W) have long been regarded as being more or less immobile during slab fluid-induced arc magma generation. Here we characterize about 180 samples of young, predominantly mafic to intermediate tephras and lavas for their Mo,

Precise measurement of the branching fractions of J/ψΛ¯π+Σ+c.c. and J/ψΛ¯πΣ++c.c.

open access: yesPhysical Review, 2023
Based on a data sample of (10087±44)×106 J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, the branching fraction of J/ψ→Λ¯π+Σ−+c.c. is measured to be (1.221±0.002±0.038)×10−3, and the branching fraction of its isospin partner mode J/ψ→Λ¯π−Σ++c.c. is measured to be (1.244±0.002±0.045)×10−3 with improved precision.

Contribution of the vector meson to the ϒ(nS)d¯*(2380)+X decay channel

open access: yesPhysical Review, 2019
d*(2380) was observed by WASA-at-COSY collaborations in the nuclear reaction recently. Its particularly narrow width may indicate the new QCD-allowed hadronic structure. To further confirm the existence of this peculiar particle in a totally different kind of reaction, ϒ(nS)→d¯*(2380)+X, the contribution from the vector meson should also be considered.

Efficacy and Tolerability of Topotecan/Cyclophosphamide/Dinutuximab in Relapsed and Refractory High‐Risk Neuroblastoma: A Multi‐Institutional Retrospective Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Chemoimmunotherapy with irinotecan, temozolomide, and dinutuximab (I/T/DIN) has emerged as first‐line therapy for relapsed/refractory (r/r) high‐risk neuroblastoma (HRNB) in North America. Topotecan and cyclophosphamide (T/C) are often used in combination with dinutuximab in the setting of lack of response, progression, or incomplete ...

Diagnostic accuracy of cone-beam computed tomography in detecting secondary caries under composite fillings: An in vitro study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Purpose: The aim of this in vitro study was to assess the diagnostic performance of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) in the detection of secondary carious lesions under composite resin fillings applied to different types of cavities.

Sterile neutrinos in Λb0(Λc+,p+)123+ν decays

open access: yesPhysical Review, 2022
We study lepton number violating and lepton number conserving semileptonic decays of heavy baryons Λb0 to three charged leptons and a neutrino. The decays occur through two intermediate quasidegenerate GeV-scale sterile neutrinos of either Majorana or Dirac type that can be on-shell.

Clinical Course and Impact of Breaks in Therapy for Children With Relapsed/Refractory Solid Tumors

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pediatric relapsed or refractory (R/R) solid tumors carry a dismal prognosis, and postrelapse patient experiences are not well described. We present postrelapse outcomes, including number of R/R events and subsequent therapy regimens.

Tests of Lepton Universality Using B0KS0+ and B+K*++ Decays

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2022
Tests of lepton universality in B0→KS0ℓ+ℓ− and B+→K*+ℓ+ℓ− decays where ℓ is either an electron or a muon are presented. The differential branching fractions of B0→KS0e+e− and B+→K*+e+e− decays are measured in intervals of the dilepton invariant mass squared.

Molecular Methods for Rare Hemoglobinopathy Cases: First Brazilian Report of Pediatric Siblings with Hb O‐Arab and Alpha‐Thalassemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hemoglobinopathies are prevalent globally; diagnosis is complex in high genetic admixture populations like Brazil. We report, in two pediatric siblings, the first documented cases in Brazil of heterozygosity for hemoglobin (Hb) O‐Arab with coinheritance of α‐thalassemia (αα/−α4.2; −α3.7/−α4.2), resulting in microcytic and hypochromic anemia ...
