Mobile Objects and Agents (MOA) [PDF]
This paper describes the design and implementation of the Mobile Objects and Agents (MOA) project at the Open Group Research Institute. MOA was designed to support migration, communication and control of agents. It was implemented on top of the Java Virtual Machine, without any modifications to it.

How Video‐Based Information Affects Farmers' Willingness to Pay for Drone Services
ABSTRACT Professional service for digital technology like agricultural drones lowers transaction costs and scope thresholds for smallholders. Meanwhile, perceptual adoption barriers remain underexplored. We conduct a two‐stage choice experiment with a randomized video‐based information treatment among 384 Chinese crop farmers to measure its effect on ...

MOA-2007-BLG-197: Exploring the brown dwarf desert [PDF]
We present the analysis of MOA-2007-BLG-197Lb, the first brown dwarf companion to a Sun-like star detected through gravitational microlensing. The event was alerted and followed-up photometrically by a network of telescopes from the PLANET, MOA, and uFUN

Abstract While multiple factors explain low adoption rates of improved varieties by small‐scale farmers in sub‐Saharan Africa, a key supply‐side constraint is the limited availability of seed embodying new traits in the volume, quality, price, and timeliness required by farmers. This constraint is partly attributable to classical failures in the market

Soft-tissue specimens from pre-European extinct birds of New Zealand
We provide the first complete review of soft tissue remains from New Zealand birds that became extinct prior to European settlement (c. AD 1800). These rare specimens allow insights into the anatomy and appearance of the birds that are not attainable ...

Abstract In birds, the neural canal houses a variety of anatomical structures including the spinal cord, meninges, spinal vasculature, and respiratory diverticula. Among these, paramedullary diverticula and the extradural dorsal spinal vein may leave behind osteological correlates in the form of pneumatic foramina and fossae, and a bilobed geometry of ...
