Autosomal Recessive Cerebellar Ataxias: Translating Genes to Therapies
Autosomal recessive cerebellar ataxias are disabling neurodegenerative genetic conditions affecting balance and coordination. Advancements in genomic testing have improved diagnosis, leading to a new focus on the development of targeted precision therapeutics addressing cellular, biochemical, and genetic disease mechanisms with a resulting emphasis on ...

Performance Evaluation of AODV, DSR, DYMO & ZRP in Cost 231 Walfisch-Ikegami Path Loss Propagation Model [PDF]
A Mobile Ad hoc NETwork is a kind of wireless ad-hoc network, and is a self configuring network of mobile routers connected by wireless links. Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) is a wireless network without infrastructure.

Essential work, invisible workers: The role of digital curation in COVID‐19 Open Science
Abstract In this paper, we examine the role digital curation practices and practitioners played in facilitating open science (OS) initiatives amid the COVID‐19 pandemic. In Summer 2023, we conducted a content analysis of available information regarding 50 OS initiatives that emerged—or substantially shifted their focus—between 2020 and 2022 to address ...

Metric Anticipation in Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks [PDF]
In this paper, we propose a new method for metric calculations. It aims to improve mobility management in wireless networks. The idea consists in anticipating metric values in order to compensate the delay generated by the measure of the link quality and the routing protocols.

Abstract The impact of the COVID‐19 pandemic and associated lockdown measures on child and family functioning requires ongoing investigation to understand its far‐reaching effects. This study investigated the experiences of 10‐year‐old children (n = 2421) from the Growing Up in New Zealand longitudinal cohort during some of the strictest pandemic ...

An Observational Theory for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks
AbstractWe propose a process calculus to study the observational theory of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks. The operational semantics of our calculus is given both in terms of a Reduction Semantics and in terms of a Labelled Transition Semantics. We prove that the two semantics coincide.

Mobility Tracking for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks [PDF]
In mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), nodes mobility cause network topologies to change dynamically over time, which complicates important tasks such as broadcasting and routing. Mobility tracking is the task to determine a trajectory of the mobile node in time which can facilitate the forwarding decision in network protocols' design.

New Solutions for Old Problems: Exploring Business Model Innovation in Food Sharing Platforms
ABSTRACT Food insecurity and food waste are among the main contemporary global challenges facing us. Although problematic for societies over a long period, their greater prominence in the post‐pandemic scenario makes the need to find appropriate solutions, at both supply and consumption levels, increasingly urgent. Thus, while not new, there has been a

Database Exchanges for Ad-hoc Networks Using Proactive Link State Protocols [PDF]
International audienceThe OSPF routing protocol is currently the predominant IGP in use on the fixed Internet of today. This routing protocol scales ''world wide", under the assumptions of links being relatively stable, network density being rather low ...
