Verification On The Web Of Mobile Systems [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 2nd International Workshop on Verification and Validation of Enterprise Information Systems, 2004
The vast majority of current available verification environments have been built by sticking to traditional architectural style centralized and without dealing with interoperability and dynamic recongurability. In this paper we present a verification toolkit whose design and implementation exploit the Web service architectural paradigm.

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...

Integrated Performance Prediction Method for Drone Propulsion BLDC Motor Considering Square Wave Current and Mechanical Losses

open access: yesActuators
This paper proposes a performance prediction process for a Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motor used in drone propulsion by considering actual drive current characteristics and mechanical losses. Drone propulsion BLDC motors are required to achieve high

Microbiome‐blood–brain barrier interactions in aging — mechanisms and therapeutic potential

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Aging reshapes the gut microbiome (↓SCFA‐producing commensals; ↑pro‐inflammatory outputs), shifting circulating metabolites (↓SCFAs; ↑LPS, ↑TMAO, ↑PAA) that act at the BBB to increase nonspecific transcytosis, alter transport, and promote astrocyte reactivity, heightening brain vulnerability.

A network mobility indicator using a fuzzy logic approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper introduces a methodology to assess the mobility of a road transport network from the 3 network perspective. In this research, the mobility of the road transport network is defined as the 4 ability of the road transport network to connect all ...

Design and Performance Evaluation of a Hybrid Flux-Path Limited-Angle Torque Motor

open access: yesMachines
Torque motors are typically operated within a limited angular range and are widely used in high-precision control applications due to their ability to provide uniform torque throughout the operating region.

Peripheral lysosomes recruit PLEKHG3 to focal adhesions and restrain protrusion dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proximity‐dependent labeling at the LAMTOR complex revealed the Rho GEF PLEKHG3 as a lysosome‐proximal protein directing the study toward the influence of lysosome positioning on actin dynamics and cell motility. We show that PLEKHG3 colocalizes with lysosomes at focal adhesion sites and observe that forced peripheral dispersion of lysosomes hinders ...

Partial depletion of plasminogen activator inhibitor‐1 decreases subcutaneous fat cell hypertrophy and liver cholesterol in high‐fat‐fed female mice

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Obesity raises blood levels of PAI‐1, a protein linked to metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease in people with obesity. In female mice fed a high‐fat diet, partially lowering PAI‐1 led to smaller subcutaneous fat cells and lower liver cholesterol, without changing body weight or insulin sensitivity.

A multi-country study of inter-generational educational mobility [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
This paper analyses intergenerational educational mobility using survey data for twenty countries. We find that a number of interesting patterns emerge.
